Daddy Day

Today was daddy day at Kobe's Preschool.  He was so excited this morning he was bouncing off the walls!  They've been preparing for this for a couple weeks at preschool.  They needed to bring in a picture of their dad - so these pics are the ones Kobe chose - one of the day he came home from the hospital, and from last summer, Kobe's first game of mini golf w/dad of course!  One of the projects they were working on was a picture and fill in the blanks . . .

Dad's favorite food . . . applesauce, my mom always doesn't give him applesauce and he says "hey! Where's MY applesauce?"

I love dad because . . . he has funny hair.

The picture to go with it was actually quite good - even had hair for Troy sticking straight up!!!

I think Troy was just as excited, and had just as much fun as Kobe - I'm so blessed to have a husband that gets so excited about these things!  He's gotta be the best daddy ever!

 . . . on that note - tonight my boys, yes, all 3 were wrestling (the answer to Kobe's first question), but apparently a bit too rough - the back of Kobe's head caught Troy's eye - so not only does he have a black eye, but he spent the night in the emergency room to get 3 stitches in his eye brow.  Nice!  Not posting a picture of that!

My Little/Big Perfectionist

I know, I know - a picture of a bed - really, I haven't gone crazy!?!  Kobe was at our wonderful neighbor's on monday, whom agreed to babysit the boys last minute for my dentist appt (thank you so much kate), and Kobe found out how much he really wanted a scooter.  Since his birthday isn't until after the summer, we talked about starting some chores, and maybe he could earn an allowance to save up to buy it.  We talked about starting with making his bed every morning - so the very next morning - this is what I found - I seriously had to think twice, it was done so perfectly, I thought I had made it myself!!  Unbelievable!

Nickelodeon Universe

So on Saturday we took a trip to the MOA, with 3 boys.  It was a blast - I told Troy he was crazy thinking we'd be there all day.  We got there around 11:15 and ended up leaving at 8:15pm (what does mommy know?).  Kobe and Chase went on over 20 rides (5 times just on the race cars), and Brennan went on the train twice with mommy and the semi trucks once with daddy.  Brennan even took a nap in the stroller!  After a supper of MD's happy meals, and a few more rides, we headed home, and EVERYONE slept well, except brennan, he was wired when we got home!

Rub a Dub Dub . . .

 . . . 3 boys in a tub!!!  We were blessed to have Kobe's second cousin, Chase stay with us for 3 days - Kobe was so excited, he was just giddy!  Kobe and Chase play together so well - every time he comes, we don't see the boys for hours at a time - and they never get into any trouble.  It's so great to have close family.  Thank you Rhonda for letting him visit.  Our weekend started with a trip to the library for storytime . . . stay tuned for more, that is if I can narrow down the picture selection . . . 

Brothers

Not much more to share, just a couple pics of my boys.  They are 2 peas in a pod - anything Kobe does Brennan copies, or tries - it's adorable!  Oh, and check out the actual blog (if this is an email) - I've added lists of Brennan's words (or lack of words) and Kobe's latest sayings, and plan on updating frequently!

Valentines Day 2009

Valentines Day, my favorite holiday - there's just something about a holiday all about LOVE!  This year it was more about the love of a family, God has blessed me with such a wonderful one!  We had heart shaped pizza and red heart jello, then we went up to "the Blast" an indoor play place in Eagan.  It really was a "BLAST"!!!  Mommy ended up crawling through many tunnels, because my no fear 19 month old loved it!  Check out the pic.  Oh, and Kobe made a couple new friends.  Then we hit the DQ for the best ever cherry choco blizzard.  Troy and I finished up the night with a little wine and a movie, and my wonderful hubby bought me some beautiful Lily's - I forgot how wonderful they smell - even now a week later, only half of them have opened so far, and the sweet aroma is filling our home!

Brennan and Mommy's Day

Every thursday Kobe goes to Preschool (rides with our carpool friend), so mommy and Brennan actually have the morning special time for the two of us.  This Thursday I decided to try on some of brennan's clothes (switching him to 18-24 mo, since he received a bunch of cute stuff last christmas 2007, and I'd hate to see it go unworn), but after getting him undressed, as you can see above, brennan had other ideas.  Finally, with a lot of begging, and squirming, we finished and got dressed.  I headed down stairs, and a few minutes later, I heard " nana, nana"  (yes, he can say mama, but it takes much less effort to say nana).  I came running upstairs to see . . .

 I told him now put them all back, and he put every last book back in the shelf!

Wonderful Friends

Just wanted to share a few pics.  I've found such wonderful friends with great kids!  And even better, I've been blessed with the opportunity to take care of some of my friends little ones a few times a month.  It just doesn't get any better, being able to stay home with my boys, and caring for little ones who are already special to me, not to mention it's good for my boys, and they love it too!  (although brennan may argue, he's having a tough time sharing toys rt now) The best part about it is that I'm also helping my friends!
