Brennan's Celebrations

Mommy and Daddy took Brennan to Build-a-bear for his birthday gift. We waited until he was feeling a little better, but he still got pretty worn out, rubbing the heart, kissing it, filling the bear, picking clothes. Okay, so mommy enjoyed it just as much - it was really cute, and brennan absolutely loves his bear, and his little back carrier to bring the bear with wherever he goes. Also, did you notice the tongue sticking out is back? Must have something to do with his sore mouth. I took him to the dentist and he has Primary Herpetic Gingivitistomatis! Very rare virus, but it is on the way out. Love U Brennan, I cannot believe my baby is three!

Me Free me next Birthday . . .

Brennan had is 3rd Birthday party on Saturday. Poor guy was not feeling the best - he's had fevers and sores in his mouth, but the party distracted him for awhile. We had all his family (including baby jett) there to help him celebrate - thank you everyone for coming to our home to help brennan enjoy his birthday. Brennan asked for a teddy bear beach party cake, and mommy had a lot of fun decorating it!! Unfortunately with his mouth sores, and swollen gums he hadn't eaten hardly anything for days (since wed), but he managed to eat some of his cake and ice cream, even though it was painful. Poor Brennan - please say a prayer that this virus goes away soon.

Kinder-Camp

What fun!! Kobe has been having so much fun at Kinder-camp, he is officially half way through. They've made so many neat projects, and he came home with a really neat journal of pictures they've drawn each day, and if you know Kobe, it isn't easy getting him to draw anything!! I am so impressed! So we have kindercamp every weekday morning, and then soccer on tuesday/thursday evenings. Whew, I hope this doesn't make the summer go by too fast, although the first actual day of summer is brennan's birthday on monday . . . more to come on that subject I am sure . . .

Childrens Day

Is today children's day?? Mom??? My mom always celebrated childrens day when we were growing up - I thought it was the sunday before fathers day - we'll, it was for us this year anyway!! It's a great way to get your kids some summer toys if they don't have summer birthdays!! Anyway the boys both got much needed baseball gloves, so we played in the yard this evening - what a gorgeous night!! Life just doesn't get any better than this!!

Talking about the boys - here are their latest:

Kobe : he's totally into doing everything we're doing, helping move rock, make cookies, mow, clean - he's been a great help with fetching things for me, telling us how we need to do things, etc. He sometimes likes to pretend he knows about things he doesn't, so he's been telling some pretty tall tales, which is always interesting. He also started kinder camp, which is EVERY day, just like kindergarten, and goes for 4 weeks this summer - he loves it, and is meeting some new friends!!

Brennan: his newest things are "I wish I be . . ." - he started singing "I wish I be Jesus" one day, but lately it's been - I wish I be a puppy, or I wish I be baby jett, and he'll crawl around the floor - it's so cute!! Also when we pray at night and do the "God bless" - he wants to do specifics. He'll say I want to pray for puppies tonight - so we name all the dogs of friends and family we know. Or he'll want to pray for babies - so we name all the babies we know. He's also still doing great with talking - sometimes when we're driving, and he just won't stop, I wonder what we were so worried about just 9 months ago?? He recognizes all his shapes, colors, and almost all his numbers and letters. It will be a whole different story, though starting preschool 9 months younger than Kobe, who could write his name when he started, it will definitely be more challenging! I cannot imagine my baby going to preschool already? What's a mom to do??

Little Man

Yep, we still have baby jett, although he's not such a baby anymore - he's turned into an adorable little man and already a year old!! The boys still jump for joy every day if jett is coming - they both love having another brother, and jett just loves having all the big boys and their toys to play with, especially when he can sneak up on one of the projects Kobe has built - it's so fun to knock it down!!!

Okay, so it's not a real baby, but this little guy just melted my heart - he was abandoned by his mom right in our campsight about 9pm, and was still there when we left the next afternoon. He even knew me, he growled at the Ranger, but when I talked to him he just purr or cooed to me. I even pet him, even though I know you're not supposed to - I just couldn't resist, he was so adorable, it broke my heart to leave him, especially knowing his chances of survival, but my hubby couldn't be convinced into having a baby racoon for a pet!

So yes, we went camping sunday night, and this is basically what the boys did the whole time (there's no dirt to dig in at our house), they are such well behaved boys - we had a beautiful sight at whitewater state park, backed by the woods, had some good camping food, swimming, smores, wading in the creek, and even a little rain to create some memories! Thank you daddy for being such an awesome event coordinator!!

The Races

Saturday night we all went to "the races" aka Elko Speedway (it was mommy and brennan's first time). It was a lot of fun, and very noisy - brennan of course loved it, he loved the monster trucks best, he couldn't wait until they came out again in between races - mommy liked the motorcross jumps, they were amazing! I will admit this is a boy thing, and I think I'll let the boys go alone next time - it's good bonding time for them, and let's be honest, it's always nice to go shopping alone, especially knowing your boys are having a good time at "the races"!
