Daddy's HOME!

So glad our daddy and my hubby is home.  I feel kind of silly now - but several months ago Kobe out of the blue had announced that daddy was going to turn 38 and go to heaven . . . I said no, he'll be home with us . . . Kobe said no, he's going to turn 38, be home for 5 days and then go to heaven.  It's weird that everything worked out perfectly, troy turned 38, he was here for 5 days, the next day was flying to DC - so mommy was extremely nervous on Wednesday as troy flew to DC - thank you to all my friends who didn't make me feel silly, and prayed for him to have a safe flight.  After moving to another plane that didn't have mechanical failure which caused a slight delay he had a safe trip, but my nervous knot in my stomach that day and just thinking about how we would survive without our daddy and hubby was a great way for God to show us how much we need and love our daddy and how much we appreciate every little thing that he does, and that he is the highlight of the boys and my life!  We love you honey.

AV library . . .

For those that have little ones - if you haven't checked out the story time at the apple valley library on galaxie - you should!  They have a new lady who is incredible.  She totally keeps it upbeat and moving - even brennan sat through the whole thing!  We just dropped by the library to grab a few books and ended up staying for story time, and sure glad we did!  Kobe even shouted out the names of every construction vehicle she held up - even she was impressed!

Brennan School?

Yes, Brennan has started ECFE classes at the nearby school.  We did the same class with Kobe when we first moved here - it has gradual separation, which was well needed for both the boys, especially Brennan as most of you know.  The teachers do such a great job - the first week brennan cried for 20 of the 30 minutes the moms were gone.  The past 2 mondays he has done great, just a little whimper when I leave, and then he has a great time playing with all the other 18-24 month olds.  The other neat thing is that this is where we met my friend Jenni, and we are now taking this class together with our second children, brennan and ashley, they are so cute together!  Oh, and these pics were not at school, they were again at the burnsville mall play area - but I couldn't pass up sharing my baby's bright blue eyes, and cute little tongue!

Wisconsin Dells Getaway

This past weekend we got another one of our christmas presents - we got to stay at a resort in Wisconsin Dells filled with waterparks.  I must admit, I never thought I'd love it as much as I did - of course the boys couldn't get enough!! - Brennan would kick and scream when we had to go to the room, and as soon as anyone would get a suit on to go to the waterparks, brennan would run and grab his suit and shoes, and whine until someone put it on - he was so afraid he wouldn't get to go with!  I think the pictures tell the rest.  Thanks mom and dad!  And thanks to everyone for helping with the boys - troy had to leave a day early to go to SC for a golf outing with his dad/brother and is now sunburnt and enjoying 75 degree weather!!

Police Visitor

I didn't get you too excited with that title, did I ??  It is community helpers week at Kobe's preschool, so today they had a police visitor.  Along with that they made police man hats, they were sOOOO adorable, I just had to take a pic and share!  They also got a Lakeville policeman badge sticker!  All I could get out of Kobe was something about tazering animals.  :)  Kobe has really been having an issue understanding death - and to top it off, today there was a funeral at his school/church - I've tried to explain that normally people go to heaven/die when they are old like his great grandparents - but now Kobe insists I'm going to heaven when I'm 35.  Last month it was troy going to heaven when he turns 38, and last week in the car he said everyone goes to heaven when they turn 31!

Tax Season

It's an annual even that my sisser luv's come over each tax season so I can help them with their taxes (actually taxact.com helps us, but don't tell them), he he!  Brennan decided, after taking a whole 10 minute nap on the way home from the zoo, that he wouldn't be taking an additional nap that day - so he had to find other things to do.  And he kept himself quite busy as you can see from the pics attached!

Daddy Day

Today was daddy day at Kobe's Preschool.  He was so excited this morning he was bouncing off the walls!  They've been preparing for this for a couple weeks at preschool.  They needed to bring in a picture of their dad - so these pics are the ones Kobe chose - one of the day he came home from the hospital, and from last summer, Kobe's first game of mini golf w/dad of course!  One of the projects they were working on was a picture and fill in the blanks . . .

I think Troy was just as excited, and had just as much fun as Kobe - I'm so blessed to have a husband that gets so excited about these things!  He's gotta be the best daddy ever!

 . . . on that note - tonight my boys, yes, all 3 were wrestling (the answer to Kobe's first question), but apparently a bit too rough - the back of Kobe's head caught Troy's eye - so not only does he have a black eye, but he spent the night in the emergency room to get 3 stitches in his eye brow.  Nice!  Not posting a picture of that!
